In regards to the re-downloading of files after patching, we have now reverted this back, so it will work like it did before. You will now be asked to download a small patch from this morning and after that you will be able to exchange the files between the Web and Steam version again to avoid downloading several Gigabytes of data. We're sorry for the inconvenience caused by this.
Yeah, well guess what? I have used up all of my data usage because yesterdays patch didn't work on "Steam". Now I have to dwnload another 5 Gb/s. So, I can patch. I guess BCkidd won't be shootin' anythin' until May. Thanks EW! Peace.

BCKidd.
Steam copy works again, BCKidd. So you shouldn't have to download the 5 GB. Just let Steam update, (validating the game cache would be a good idea), then do the copy thing. I tried it this morning, and it worked.
Tried it myself and indeed it does.

It was never a crank handle until something changed in how they are done, and then it became that way. So in essence because you can go to someone else to jump start your car as long as you give them your info, the person that sold you the car with what was supposed to be a good battery doesn't have to fix the battery.

While Steam is an alternate method to update and play the game, it is not required, and it really isn't out of line to ask that the patches work properly when not using Steam.

It is out of line to promote Steam as the answer instead of fixing the issue.
It did work in the past, so clearly something changed at some point. Hopefully if it is addressed instead of relying on Steam it will be fixed in the near future.

Did someone win a steam powered Volvlo? or what?
it's broke already and you're trying to fix it for them cuz the crank broke their wrist?
That must be one heck of an old car to have a crank handle to start it up.
But it's probably one hell of an antique that cost a lot of money.
Now who would not want that!...............

Before "Steam" the launcher worked fine. SO, those of us that were here when "Steam" was implemented grew accustom to the regular "theHunter" launcher. Folks that have become members since or after "Steam" was implemented, are accustom to "STEAM". There is only one real solution- to keep both sides happy, and that is, fixing "theHunter" launcher. Whether some see this differently or not, matters little, because it really isn't their issue. Those that do see it this way would likely agree, that the launcher needs fixing. Simple. Arguments can be made from both sides, but what is the point? It is a well known fact that theHunter launcher needs an overhaul. ;) Peace.

Probably another known bug, but if it happens again I'll report it.
It is a known bug.
It happened again, this time with buckshot (I haven't had any problems using the .243).

The commonality so far appears to be using the shotgun and RFF (I suspect it may have happened at LP too, but got sidetracked by pheasant). I don't think the hits are registering correctly either, it's always just "body" blood tracks even with buckshot at close range.

Perhaps it's all pure coincidence but I never had this problem before the last update. EDIT: I mean the 12th update, not today.

A lot of players get this, it's not so new, it started on TT,.. this post is about the update, and that bug has nothing to do with it.
There's a few posts about "the fast roaming bug" that started a few months ago, here's one.

Thanks for the information, had no idea how to search for it.

Given the frequency I'm experiencing it now, I don't think there is enough data to determine if the update truly has nothing to do with it (agree the description doesn't suggest it). In any event, it's a game breaker for me.

(Edit) you know what, I give up. Crack on fellas. I'll just bin off reading status and game update threads. they're just full of web launcher spam. Not worth the sift for the decent debate and discussions to be had.

My updates work first time every time. If yours doesn't, and you don't like the solution ....meh
