Re: Status Update 1st September 2016
i dont believe it would be climbing, most full grown grizzlys cannot climb trees, that is mainly a blackbear trait.
my guess is standing, probably alot more defensive but i kindof doubt theylle actually hunt us"cough couch cabelas cough"

Could be their trait will be to take down your wounded animal, and bury it (leaving us with a no harvest critter), grizzly do that with their kills. Maybe, our only defence on that rare occasion when they might attack, is to play dead, get tossed around a bit and hope for the best. Peace.

Maybe there's a river (or rivers) they're attracted to for "fishing?" That would be neat.

Maybe bears will occasionally be attracted by gun shots? In some areas, bears get smart enough to realize that a gunshot means food. It might just be really exploitable though.

Re: Status Update 1st September 2016
There will definitely have to be rivers and other water ways, and they could very well be attracted to certain water ways, for fish and the sweet vegetation. There will certainly be hunter guides out and certain hot spots for them and I bet they will be near the water. Yes, they can be attracted to fresh blood, which is associated to rifle shots and field dressing the critters. It has happened often where they appear near kill sites. A perk to EW would be to have a "blood scent" spray, have it so it works for, coyote, foxes, hogs/ Feral and otherwise. If that became a reality in theHunter, it would be a buyable option instead of bait stations. Since stations are stationary, the scent spray would sell jus' as well; because it could be used out in the field, any where at any time. To Ew- hint, hint... Peace.

Yeah. This one is getting me excited too. I also love how Daniel mention said "It also features quite lot of exploration opportunities, more than any other map we’ve done before." Also real happy about the Mulies in a mountainous environment. Hell, it all sounds good!

Antlers, horns, monsters and small birds, now I only wish for the big kitty cat for that last spot.
Thank you and all the best going forward, Daniel.

I didn't promise a new animation, but a new "trait".JamboWhoDat wrote:I think the grizzly bear is going to be made with the brown bear's model, the polar bears ai, and the new bear skin with fur and a new animation alena has promised. Hopefully standing on its hind legs as killertut mentioned.Ravenousfox wrote:I hope Grizzly bears won't flee when you spook them but instead will try to charge at you.
I want an animal to actually hunt the player as such, would be neat.
