i'll take Screen shot ...over the Participate technology
I don't understand why emote would make so highly detail avatars when there no MP..... Like no ones going to see you while your hunting unless MP is coming down the road? T
I think 3 men and 3 women avatars wouldn't been enough for a hunting game

Re: Latest Interview about Emote's Participate Technology
because eventually The Hunter will be heading towards a multiplayer experience..and the tech for the avatars was not created for The Hunter exclusively..if you read the reviews of the software you would know that its a "plug in" solution to avatar creation that can be bolted into any game front end of choice to provide avatar creation second to none...
it is simply being premiered in The Hunter.
i would think the eventual goal will be to see Partcipate tech appearing in various MMO's or similar throughout the gaming world.
plus with The Hunters community based platform having an avatar that is entirely personal will be a good thing, rather than a hundred journals entries from "avatar female 1".

I would rather pull sliders around to make it look as close to me as possible, but that might just be me.Gavin Rummery Interview wrote:So they just choose a character that appeals to them rather than spending ages pulling sliders about.

Yeah, I liked the EA Sports type of character creator. You could change cheek size, eye size, mouth size, ear size, and the positions of them.

Mass effect had a really nice way of doing this as well, in case I haven't already mentioned that..
But that is a totally different level of code.
