Finally, we’re back and it is time for a Status Update! Vacations are over and we’re fully staffed again.

Well, it has not only been vacations for everyone all the time so let’s get started with some news!

Anti-Cheat
We’ve made several improvements to the anti-cheat system and detection of cheating. One noticeable change is that it is no longer possible to have have more than one expedition going on at the same time. This is something we’ve seen been exploited under certain circumstances.

Muzzleloader
A new weapon is being worked on, a little bit more traditional this time and it will sure give you a challenge - the muzzleloader.

Here are some early preview shots of the model. I’m sure you’ll have lots of feedback and questions.



TruRACS improvements
Due to all the feedback we have received in the community we are currently working on improving the TruRACS score distribution for the Mule Deer and Blacktail populations.

New news!
As discussed in the previous Status Update we’ve been thinking of a new format to communicate news and also to provide transparency to the team. Starting next Wednesday we will begin using a new channel to communicate news, game updates and other information. We will also start a new developer blog. Everything will be available in the same place (and also published on the front page of thehunter.com, as well as made available in the launcher). Discussions, feedback and a way for us to further respond to questions related to something posted will still take place in the forum as usual, but from now on everything will be published in the news channel first instead.

The Status Updates in the current form which are written rather personal from my point of view will from now on have the whole team as an author. Instead we do the more personal posts, and let everyone in the team do them on a recurring basis in the developer blog. This will give you more insight into the various roles and the whole team. It will be awesome!

New blood!
At the end of the month we will have two new interns joining us! Interesting to see if they can handle the wrath of ex-intern-now-employed Daniel!

Wow- that is a lot of news. all of that sounds very good.

The Muzzle loader looks fantastic. I hope we do have a lot of smoke when it is fired- and a longer reloading animation. Really looking forward to the ML.

Edit: Are you guys going to tweak the signature or is this the final product? I'm going to give it a test ride but a couple of thoughts off the bat. Back ground wood is a good look but too dark. I assume collectables are going evolve passed just mushrooms so it would be nice to also add them or at least the option to display them? Thanks.

Edit2: Size should be a bit bigger. Might just be my old eyes but it just seems too small.
