Status Update - 28th March 2012

Post by Stefan Pettersson »

Eventually, the time is here to finally reveal what species will inhabit the new environment. Many have speculated. Most have been wrong. Albeit some have actually picked up the hints we've trickled out.

First of all, the name of the new environment is Hirschfelden, making no doubt about it's German heritage. This is the reserve badge.

The new environment will be inhabited by Roe Deer, Wild Boar and Pheasant. Here we have some teaser pictures of some roe deer does...

Although quite similar, the Wild Boar is not the same as the Feral Hog. They have some subtle differences in their looks. With the introduction of the Wild Boar also the Feral Hog will be updated to feature the characteristic aggressive behavior. Here we got two at dawn, you can only see their silhouette...

If you would like to repost these images elsewhere, here they are in highres 1 2 3 4.

Moose Mania Weekend

Finally, heads up for this weekend - it's time for Moose Mania Weekend. More information shortly!

And also... on Sunday it is April 1st. Who knows what you may find in the woods then...?

Mint! Looks great. Cant wait to see some antlers on the Roe Deer. Looks like a great map. :)

Any news on the lag issue and bugs from latest patches?

Are the hogs different to the current one? looks like the have more of a hump on their backs.

Given that there is only 3 animals that means 2 others to follow, if the usual number holds true.
