Over the last 7 days I have recieved 35 BS emails, online banking, discount drugs, viagra, world health clubs, male enhancement products, free ****, international vacation destinations, make money online, 5 job offers from 2 different job agencies and several emails in French. This is far and above the normal 2 or 3 a month I was recieving before the Hunter team suffered a technical issue with their mailer system.

I started getting junk mail yesterday and the list of recipients are the same as the beta confirmation letter. A large number of these emails are getting past my spam filter. Don't like it!!!!!!

well im not getting any more than usual....
whilst some could probably be blamed on the unfortunate circumstances here, i would guarantee that quite a few are also linked simply to the season we are in.
in the run up to all the major holidays SPAM increases significantly..people are less on guard as to what they click, they tend to have less time and less focus (especially xmas time) ergo its easier to click that email you shouldnt have.
mailing software wouldnt be selective about the emails in that list....it would simply a copy/paste input or a direct xml feed from the listing hosted somewhere...which would mean we would all be suffereing an excess of spam and junk.
im not saying anybody is wrong...im playing devils advocate.....
im using windows live mail, on top of that i have filtering in place on the server end of all my email accounts. there hasnt been an increase in my reciept of spam at all....
also i run about 4 seperate emails....one i use simply and only for game signs ups etc.....one for my artwork...one for banking etc.....
its a little bit more work but in the end if you start getting spam to one..you generally know where its come from.

You really need to head Krisute's advice. That is the same thing I do. I have a bunch of email addresses. One for family and friend, website, and one for registering on other websites. I run a website and the first thing I noticed was the amount of junk email you get addressed to "webmaster". They will find a way to get you. I don't have a problem with what happened. The hunter caught the problem, and they addressed and are dealing with any other issues that come up. I to hope that they are more careful with credit card info, but just like my email addresses I have a credit card that I put money on only when I want to buy something on the internet. That way if it is stolen or someone gets the number, they can't run up thousands of dollars on me. In this day and age you have to do more to protect yourself.
