Welcome to this week's Status Update!
Game Server Update
Yesterday we did a minor update to the game server to fix some issues related to bear missions involving rares. All missions should now work as expected.
Tenpoint Carbon Fusion crossbow
Here are some more screenshots of the crossbow. It will be part of an update coming first half of October.
The Tent
Daniel Gustafsson, our client programmer intern we introduced some time ago is working on his first task, which is nothing less than the tent feature.
To recapture, the tent will act as a spawn point which you can setup in the world where you want (however, you need to put the tent in your inventory and go to that spot). Then you can start your expeditions from the tent instead of the lodges. It will also be possible to move the tent's location, or have multiple tents.
Here is a screenshot of the tent:
With a bit of luck we will be able to release the tent in the same update as the crossbow.
Moose Missions now live!
A set of ten moose missions are now available for your enjoyment! Here is a glimpse of the titles:
You'll find them by selecting Missions in the menu under The Hunt. Click on the desired mission and then the Activate Mission button.
TruRACS on the other species
TruRACS (True Random Antler Configuration System) is currently used on the moose and we're working on bringing it to the other species. Since the moose antlers are quite different compared to deer, the first species (which will be Mule Deer) will require a little bit more work. But after that it will be easier to add Elk, Whitetail and Blacktail as well. Additionally we will revamp the feral hog and the turkey to have dynamically scaled features (pheasant and bear already have).
TruRACS on Mule Deer is planned to be released in October, and the other species followed every other week with first out Feral Hog, Elk, Turkey and Whitetail.
German Retail Box in production
We just got sent a photo of the German retail box coming out of production. It is looking good:
Besides appearing in stores it's also available for pre-order on Amazon.de (now updated with screenshots and trailer).

The tent looks nice and will be welcome, moreso than the crossbow for me personally.

Nice looking pictures...
The tent spawning system is the most important thing fore me and then Trurack, but I am very happy for all that is mentioned in the update....

From what I understand, animals cannot spawn too close to a lodge, will this be the same with the tents?
Will there be an exclusion zone around them?
