Goats show different icons for grey, piebald and piebald black variations, but the "common" ones always show the same icon, no matter whether they were red, white or black. Basically there's a difference between fur variations and variations of common - which seems to be a bit arbitrary for some species if you ask me.

Like this pic is not available , not there yet .

Edit : Confirming that the '' orange '' pic is not matching the same color .

Skin variations are usually not shown in the stats. I think the only exception are brown bear (gold) and black bear (cinnamon, glacier, chocolate and blonde). For all other species the non-rare animals have the same icon. even if they have a different skin. All the goats have the same reddish icon. All feral hogs have the same icon. There are multiple colors within most deer species, coyotes, wolves, bobcats and they also only have one icon each.
But some goats do show different icons. Foxes as well; same for bobcats.
Regarding the Banteng, apparently only the Dark one has an icon for it, while the orange one shares the same with the common.
Yes, I forgot the grey bobcat and yes of course the foxes.. I didn't go through all animals. I don't know what the rule is, when they create icons and when not. I wonder if there is even a rule.

Yes, the whole deal seems pretty arbitrary indeed.

Ahhh, I'd thought all along that the gold banteng was a fur variation! Didn't realize it was just a variation on the same skin, the way for example elk have two possible skins, etc. Had no idea! I thought it was a variation due to it being less common & so flashy. Today I learned.

Here is my first ever blue arctic fox(black color). It's a female scoring 5.964 . I took it with my brand new reverse draw crossbow I bought today out of the Valentine's Day sales. Tried to get a clear picture so you can see the eyes. Image
Another one off to the taxidermy place for my future lodge! :D

Sorry to bust your bubble, Leafy, but that is not a rare, just a fur variation. Nice picture though.

Wow, never thought my first albino would be a feral hog. I had to pick this one out of the back of the crowd of oncoming hogs with my heavy recurve.
A shot in the hipbone eventually did its job. I made the mistake of closing my game before the screenshot uploaded  but...here it is
