Agreed. Even if they took down HooCairs hog trap, why didn`t he get in trouble, but someone else got banned for the same thing? IT seems like a good tactic, not ban worthy. If it didn't state it in the description of the comp, then it should be ok. If pigs are programmed not to run away when they are caught in a wall, then he is using their AI to his advantage.

Isn´t it that they run for a set amount of time so they will run back and fourth trying to get away but don´t really cover any distance as they don´t want to start running in the direction they got spooked from?
you can use rivers to cut the flee track a bit also. It´s just about knowing your surroundings and thus becoming a better hunter.

The difference between the banned player and Hoocairs is this:
The banned player used the tactic to their advantage in order to win currency and beat other who competed fairly. Hoocairs published a how-to in order for the devs to step up their game and fix the problem.
Sometimes bugs get put on the backburner until someone is bold enough to tell everyone how to exploit it, whether they will or not.
