Pretty cool.
There was one in the upper peninsula that people were seeing. Not sure if it's still around or even if it actually existed, but supposedly it was there.

On a cross country snowmobile trip we spent a night in a place called Big Bay. There's that famous place, Thunder Bay Inn, only place to stay I think. We were in the restaurant talking to some groomer operators that had been seeing moose in the area. We got on a trail heading west to the casino at Baraga. We were the first ones to lay marks on it and we came across big ass tracks. We chilled and enjoyed at least 50 miles of virgin pack~ it was heavenly and cold- 40 below on the shore of Superior -60 wind chill. Absolute coldest experience I've ever had. Hard to believe Moose lived in that stuff but we saw deer and some come of weasels, Martins maybe? no idea but pretty good sized, not small, 2-3 feet, lightning fast and moved like a shadow and disappeared in the blink of an eye.

That's crazy. We rent a cabin in Big Bay every fall. It's beautiful up there. You probably saw martin, but it's possible that you saw fishers. There are a few around there. Have never seen a moose in the U.P., but would love to some day.

 How cool! I'll never forget it- snow piled so high you could change the street light bulbs. Flurries up there is a foot and a half over night. We rode out to the lighthouse and watched the lake. There were chunks of ice the size of houses- lift the visor on your helmet and your eyelashes froze together - We whizzed on a tree, never made it to the bottom  - That Inn was kind of spooky I thought, didn't mind leaving there, it weren't too modern

White moose in Sweden

Post by Hunter300 »

This white moose was recently discovered in Sweden. Sweden has an estimated 400,000 moose, only about 100 of them are mostly white. Hans Nilsson has spent three years trying to spot an elusive white moose in the town of Eda, in western Sweden. Last week he got lucky and crossed paths with the ghost-coloured herbivore two days in a row.

Enjoy:
