Re: 2016/2017 Hunting and trapping season
I believe spring turkey season is finally coming to a close around the US. I mean, Pennsylvania is one of the latest states I know to open their season and I believe today is their last day, so I assume most seasons are done and gone. In my own state, Maryland, it ended about a week ago although my season was over within the first week of it opening. My first bird of the year was 23 lbs, 10.5 inch beard, just short of 1 inch spurs and shot on private land. My second bird was 15 lbs, 9.5 inch beard, just short of half inch spurs and it was my first bird killed on public land so I'm fairly happy with it. Did anyone else who hasn't posted yet connect with a bird this spring? I live for thunder chickens, and I enjoying seeing others just as successful in the pursuit of such an awesome animal.

Nice birds! Nothing this year. A few close calls, but no arrows flung. It was still fun though! Public land is really tough. Congrats on getting it done!

Remington 870 20-gauge. I'm still young and dumb... I've got a good ways to go before I'm confident enough in myself to drag my bow out into the turkey woods. I received my first bow ever and started shooting it a short 3 or 4 years ago and I've only gotten up the courage to take two deer with it in that amount of time.stancomputerhunter wrote:Very nice, Dragon! Gun or bow?
