Found it appropriate to start a new tread since we're in a new season

Our bow season started yesterday. Unfortunately it downpoured all day. Hoping to get out this evening.

Same thing here. First day of whitetail archery yesterday and it rained off and on all day. Today isn't any better.

Yeah, the weather does not always cooperate. Hope you have better luck with it the next days.
We had the first goose hunt of the season this morning. A bit later then usual, but better then never.
We got 6 Greylag geese & 3 Pink-footed geese in total. No record, but a decent start. We used the chances we got well, and the shooting was good. All in all a very good day.
(And forgive the goofy smile, I never look good on these photos )

Nice!
It rained again here so I spent a few hours keeping my shooting sharp by shooting some squirrels off the bird feeder. It's not hunting, but it's good practice and they make a mess of the bird seed.

Nice shooting - those are tiny targets.
btw - you don't eat them? Although they are small, they're still tasty.

I would guess that Villkatta is holding Baikal MP27M O/U shotgun.

Re: 2016/2017 Hunting and trapping season
Archery season started Saturday here. I have no classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I'm super psyched to get some extra hunting in. This morning I saw 4 deer, 2 bucks including a very respectable (though no quite what I was willing to shoot so early in the season) 8 point at 30 yds. Heading out again in about 30 minutes with high hopes.
