My trapping season is over for this year, at least until bear trapping season. The result for this year: 10 muskrats, 3 raccoons, 2 beavers, an otter, a marten, 3 snowshoe hares and a cottontail rabbit. I caught a few squirrels as well but I don't keep their furs, usually.

Nice, do you sell the furs or keep them yourself?

I usually sell them all, but this year, since the prices are pretty low, I decided to keep the otter, the marten, one of the raccoons and the smaller beaver. I sold the muskrats and the other raccoons to a buyer at a trapping convention. I promised the big beaver to my friend's father, so I sold it to him for half the market price. I haven't decided what to do with the bunnies yet.

Nice furs. I'm not much of a trapper, but with prices so low, I kept what I got this year.

Cool, dumb question but what do you use them for? Decoration? Make clothes?
