Next step is to upgrade the cpu! :P
Yep! I want to keep it budget quad core. Any recommendations? AMD FX? Intel?

Great! Hope you enjoy your gpu a lot :) how does cotw run?
Thank you Dark! Funny thing. I got a refund on COTW because I honestly didn't think I'd get the gpu so soon. But Best Buy had the 55o on sale for cheap. Will purchase COTW again when I upgrade the cpu in about a month or two.

Intel's new Coffee Lake quad core cpus are doing really good and they are not that expensive. I believe you can get a 8350K which has 4 cores 4 threads and will go up to 4ghz at around $170 dollars.

EDIT: If you are looking for something that will last longer the new 8600K is beastly. Although it's at around $260 dollars.

I sold some old PS3 games and figured I'd try COTW again. Works flawlessly on medium settings for me! Happy with this card purchase. Can't wait to upgrade the cpu.

I have a question, would the folowing be abe to play COTW at decent settings ? It is sort of what my budget would allow. Internet speed is good where I am so its a hardware question. I hardly know how to use a smartphone.... I only have a "good" laptop and while Classic is fine it can't do COTW, which I have & paid for.....

So would this work..
AMD FX-6300 (6 x 3.50GHz) · 4 GB Nvidia GTX 1050ti GGDR5 · 8GB RAM · 1000GB HDD · Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P · Windows 10 Home · Leiser Gaming-PC · VR Ready
My opinion may not be right, but it is the one I like most :D

That cpu and gpu combo should work just fine. I'm using a phenom II X4 955 3.2ghz and a radeon rx 550 4g gpu and I've pushed it up to high settings and had smooth game play.

BUT I have played COTW for about 24 hours now and I find classic a lot more fun to play. COTW seems more random to me. Classic feels more challenging.
