Hurricane Irma - Biggest Atlantic Storm Ever, and it's coming

It is aimed right at me on the Alabama Gulf Coast. It will either hit us (on the Gulf Coast), or go up the Atlantic toward Florida and Georgia. I wish there was a way it wouldn't hit any of us but it seems like the attack is inevitable. Prayers to the family of the three who have already been killed.

Praying it will die out in the Caribbean before it kills anymore, God Bless those who are impacted.

if the whole west side of us let their power consumption be on max, and east side turn of everything, maybe this can trigger a gradient making the storm move towards west...? Anyway, I see these storms are gonna make problems for a lot of people, and I hope everything works out well for you and your family...! Let the camera stay in the bag for some days, this is just not the correct time for taking pictures at the beach

The 2 nuclear power plants in Florida that are in the projected path have already shutdown in preparation. They have both been through several hurricanes before, so I'm pretty sure their ready.

weather her in the UK is looking a bit hairy as well. My washing got damp out on the line today and it was promised to be "mild but dry". you guys need some strong line for your kite and some heavy shoes.

I'm in St. Augustine, Fl. Didn't evacuate because I always stay at my work and man the IT department during the storm. Think I've dodged a bullet right now. The storm keeps going west and now I'm only facing Tropical Storm winds. Hope the west coast of Florida stays safe.
