Absolute Classic/Awesome/Cult Movies
So working in a Cinema i was shocked that most of my younger colleagues dont know , what i consider , some of the most classic movies ever.
Talking to some i felt really old with my close to 33 years now hahaha ( and i know that i still havent watched a lot of good movies too )
So i gave them all homework to watch some good movies instead of the stuff like new "Jumanji" or "Baywatch" ...
So help me complete the List of absolute Classic Movies every younger person should have watched at least once and maybe help me to by adding some that i havent watched and need to in the process
Pulp Fiction
The Gonnies ( i was shocked when no one of the younger workers knew this one as its one of the best movies of my childhood memory )
Alien and Aliens
Predator 1-2
Escape from New York and maybe L.A ( even tho its way cheesier then the first and kinda sucks it still has super Bad A** Kurt Russel in it )
Big Trouble in Little China
Tango & Cash
Demolition Man
Terminator 1-2
Schindlers List
The Pianist
American Beauty
Waynes World
Ted and Bills excellent Adventure
Beverly Hills Cop Series ( except the last one, that one blows in my oppinion )
Grave of the Fireflies
They Live
The Thing
Die Hard 1-3
He Man - the one with Dolph Lundgren ( its absolute trash - but its a masterpiece in that category )
Evil Dead ( Original and/or Remake )
Army of Darkness
Gran Torino
Old Clint Eastwood Western Movies - no particular - mostly all of them are awesome
Literally Everything with Bud Spencer and Terence Hill for obvious reasons
Hook
Nightmare before Christmas
Pans Labyrinth
2001 a Space Odyssey
Clockwork Orange
Catch me if u can
Gremlins
Dawn of the Dead
Night of the living Dead
Braveheart
Lethal Weapon 1-2
Forrest Gump
Point Break
Heat

Soylent Green
most of the H. Bogart movies
most of Hitchcock' s movies( "the birds"comes to mind)
Blade Runner
one flight over a cuckoos nest
The shining + many other S.King movies
HeMan is actually called Masters of the Universe
Many, if not all Sergio Leone movies(not only westerns)
Sven Hassel's wheels of terror
The dirty dozen
Maniac cop
Child's play
etc
I/m gonna stop here cause my lunchbreak is almost over....anyway the list would be humongousely huge....I suggest take a look on IMDB, there are many pre-made lists there. good luck!

Re: Absolute Classic/Awesome/Cult Movies
Here's just a few that I think are outstanding. These are in no particular order as far as how good they are.
Apocalypse Now- Redux
American Graffiti
Star Wars- A New Hope- The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi
Dazed and Confused
The Graduate
National Lampoon's Animal House- Vacation and Christmas Vacation
Full Metal Jacket
I think most of John Wayne's movies were true American Classics
American Werewolf in London... if you like good special effects movies.
It's A Wonderful Life
The Shawshank Redemption
Goodfellas
Reservoir Dogs
Taxi Driver
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
The Treasure of the Sierra Madre
Die Hard
These are just a few I could think of, off of the top of my head.... I'm sure there's many more.
