Step 1: Turn the volume right up
Step 2: Start a game in Val Des Bois
Step 3: Listen for the mighty roar of a Red Deer stag
Step 4: Use the thunder from the .45-70 and scare the deer to death
I found this rifle to be the sweetest pick of them all for the big game. I'm very certain that no other rifle will please me more. I found it to be steady at a low skill level, and off target shots still get the job done. Not to mention, it looks so damn nice and could out-do Thor in the noise factor.

So sweet.

This gun is my fav. gun for WRR and for shooting piles of hog/boar off barrels. Other than that though, doesn't see much use. Having said that. I vote Very Good. Want to stop a bear before it takes it's next step? This is what you want to shoot it with.

with that caliber, I prefer the buffalo rifle (even with the smaller scope)

I voted 'Excellent'...because it is.

Point it at something you want to harvest and watch it drop like a brick. Bison, Moose, Bears...doesn't matter. All dead. If you can even slightly place a shot and hit an organ whatever is hit is finished.

It also roars in a gloriously satisfying way. The .45-70 would scare small children.

It is like the .30-06 on steroids which is as high a compliment as i can give it.

An excellent gun, eaaaaasy to use. Fun as hell. Can't fault it.

The last thing I want from the game when it finally ends: An offline, single player version.

This rifle WAS the ultimate boomstick in every way. I buyed it the second it came out, and loved every second with it. I put it away the regular after 500 kills and i don't know if i ever will buy the engraved one, because it became weak. Ew tuned the strength down (nerfed it) as many players confirmed. My rate is Excellent for the memories, but Good because of the power loss.

Voted excellent, like it so much will be picking up the engraved in the sale.

Rated good, but would have been excellent if they wouldn't have nerfed it at one point.

Personally I prefer the 45-70 Buffalo over this one in every aspect.
