Extraordinary work, as usual, David!
But (same old "but") don't believe anything you read! The .243 barrel is however you want, but not fluted! Only rifles with fluted barrel are .223, .270,.300 and 7 mm "Raptor" (and not very sure about .223 and 7 mm, could be only a graphic artifact!).

Re: Rifles | .243 Bolt Action Rifle
I am rating this rifle as "Excellent", simply for the fact that players can hit a roe deer with it at 250m without a scope! And if you hit the deer, it is going to die.
I am only at shooting level 7 with the .243, yet it is very stable. I can reach almost complete stillness for a second when holding my breath in crouching position.
I prefer the .243 over the .223 for long range shots on foxes. I have tried the .223 but returned the my old looking .243.
The shot below proves accuracy and plenty of power even at almost 350m.
Red Fox (M)
Score: 14.857
Weight: 6.74 kg (14.86 lbs)
Time of Harvest: 2014-09-29 23:49 CEST
Shots Hit: 1
Shot Distance: 346.26m (1136.02ft)
Weapons Used: .243 Bolt Action Rifle

Decent performer for deer, excellent for coyote and fox. A little too noisy.

Good- good against smaller species. Excellent in that its free and shoots well.
Post edited after JackRbbt noted my really dull fox statement. That dude can spot.

Re: Rifles | .243 Bolt Action Rifle
together with Radamus we decided that it is a perfect caller for ducks! after seeing no ducks around and shoting one whitetail down with the .243 extra long range caller ducks were flying in flock by flock!
