Starting Launcher Opens Website

Two items:

1) Since the update that introduced the new landing page, when I start the launcher (I start sessions from the launcher, not the website), it also opens the website. I cannot understand why it would need to do this, as I have tried closing the browser as soon as I have logged in with the launcher and the session proceeds successfully. If there is no technical reason for the launcher to open the website, I suggest it should not do so.

2) Both the website and the launcher open in a mode to enable creation of a new account. Existing users must click the "I am already a hunter" link to get to the login screen. For the launcher at least, I would imagine the vast majority of times it is started is by existing hunters. I suggest opening the launcher in the login screen, and in the rare cases where someone who has installed the launcher does not have an account already, there should then be a link to the account-creation screen.
