Game Mode: probably Both, but only play SP so far

Description:
The red dot reticle is randomly missing in the sight (and stays missing for some time (a few minutes). It eventually reappears randomly.
Initially I thought it might have something to do with free view (I use that a lot when walking around) since sometimes the reticle reappears once I take the weapon off my shoulder, switch back to front view and take aim again. Not sure if that always works though.

Platform: i7-4710, 16GB, GForce 970
OS & Version: Windows 10 64bit

It happens to me too sometimes. Changing the light intensity (I do this via mouse wheel) brings the red dot back. Still a bug!

What Tanngnjostr said. In addition I have found that it tends not to happen if you leave the intensity at the default setting the first time you look through it instead of wheeling it to max.

I have the same problem, and I can only get it to come back by removing the scope and putting it back on.

This is reproducible when you pause the game with Escape and alt-tab to a different application. Back in the game the brightness is set to off, scrolling the mouse wheel will turn it back on.
