China Map

Post by Stealthhunter »

I know this doesn't sound like much, and that most people would rather see an African map or an American Prairie, but i have just watched a documentary on filming snow leopards up high in the alpine mountain of China. A few of the animals are endangered or rare to find, but they have a Polar bear in-game which is endangered IRL. I thought it would be cool to have another high alpine map like Val DE Bois. All the suggested animals below i saw in the documentary.
Animals could be:
Blue Sheep (similar to bighorn sheep, horns look different though)
Type of alpine wolf
Fox
Himalayan Blue bear
Vultures (
Gopher/ground hog
Snow leopards (are endangered so most likely not)

Please leave your thoughts below. Please no harsh ones as it is only a thought :)

China is a beautiful country with some stunning scenery.

IMO this would be a project for the back burner. As you have stated an African savanna as well as American prairie would be /should be higher on their list of priorities.

China is a huge place with a lot of high mountain wilderness areas, and don't forget about the Yeti! You know,... Bigfoots & Sasquatches cousins..............
You said Alpine map,... does this consist of summer, fall, or winter?
There are a lot of animals.... care to take a look at the list?

Thanks for replies. The Alpine map i was thinking about should be in winter so it has a lot more snow, as we only have 2 maps at the moment with a lot of snow (WRR and Hemmadal). Also it would allows us to use our climbing gear in some places of the map. At the moment we only can use climbing gear in Val De Bois.
The main animals i was thinking of was:
Blue sheep
Himalayan blue bear
Mountain hare/gopher/type of pika (a small game for the map)
They also have yaks up in the high mountains

I really never liked the climbing mini-game in a hunting game but that's just my opinion.
Here are a few animal lists I would consider picking for a China map,... and just a few smaller lists out of those lists..... as I believe it is the right kind of hunting animals which draws players to the map.
Remembering this is a game,... I have taken off all endangered and extinct animals although some animals still here may not be allowed hunted IRL (tigers, etc...) although that shouldn't matter for a hunting game since it really has no effect.

It would differ in ways as a lot (or all) of the alpine animals in China can not be found in Australia.

I think you need to look at a geographical map, China can fit those countries in the southern part of it and isn't just a rainy season jungle, it does snow,
and gets cold, and has deciduous trees (leaves fall off), a spring, summer, fall, & winter seasons. The animals (if you looked at the list I made) there
consists of more types because of the large geographical area it covers.
Your statement is like relating that a new United States map would be like another Rougarou Bayou map.
I am not against a China map, and if one would be made, I hope we would get the best out of it.
