Eastern Siberia / Ussuria

Post by Kentman »

I was reading suggestions and ideas about a new reserve and i think there is a part of the world that is mostly overlooked. Siberian taiga - largest wilderness on the earth overflowing with animals and beautiful landscapes. Eastern Siberia or Ussuria would be excellent choice for new reserve. Dense old hilly forests, marshes and meadows, rivers, mountains etc...

I think (and not only me) that there is enough of NA/Europe reserves (at least for some time).

But the for this game the most important things are animals to hunt. This map could offer opportunity to add some really intresting animals and yet some improved/reskined/remade "old" animals!

"Old" species:
Ussuri brown bear - largest continental brown bear subsp.
Amur moose
Siberian roe deer - bigger and much MORE interesting trophy than europan roe
Elk (Manchurian Wapiti)
Wild Boar
Siberian lynx (based on bobcat?)
maybe some duck or goose

New species:
Sika deer (Dybowski) - would make a gorgeus addition to deer family
Black-billed capercaillie - capercaillie would make birdhunters SO HAPPY! + possibility to reskin as europan capercaillie and add to some europan reserve
Amur leopard (!)
Siberian musk - would make an interesting trophy :D

And one BIG feline predator (yes, with stripes) which i do not dare to mention...

Please feel free to add your opinions, ideas and suggestions!

I think this would be an awesome European map idea, though I think some people would say that this is basically Hemmeldal with a few extras. Musk deer and the Siberian Roe sound really interesting though.
