Re: Ptarmigans caller
Yes good idea, perhaps as the Turkey Locator Caller, to find them easily

I like the locator idea, would be cool to get some assistance in finding these buggers.

Re: Ptarmigans caller
I can't not find any information on a Real life Ptarmigan caller. That is not to say that some kind of in game locator call wouldn't be useful.

The Italian websites callers are for Partridge as is the English websites callers are also.
Partridge and Ptarmigan are not the same bird.

Re: Ptarmigans caller
I see/hear a lot of Red Grouse where I go walking. I love their call, and I can do a pretty good impression of their lekking call too. Now I am sure they answer back to me - or at least stick their heads up to look for a grouse with a strong foreign accent.RidgeBack69 wrote:I can't not find any information on a Real life Ptarmigan caller. Not sure if this is totally relevant to the thread but there is also a brand of Scottish whisky that is rumoured to attract both Grouse and Ptarmigan!
There are some who call me..... Simon. In game: Alf_Tupper

Re: Ptarmigans caller
Really???
Most upland bird hunters IMO don't mimic a call to find birds.
That is what walking the field with a good bird dog is for.......
But so far there is no good pointing bird dog in the hunter,
this would probably be seen as cheating to get a higher count........
Look what they did with the Scent Hound, it can't even find a rabbit on its own.
So much for reality in this game.
