stopping animal for shot.
Is there anyway to stop a walking animal for a shot? As a IRL hunter I usually grunt or bleet with my mouth to freeze a buck momentarily for a shot. I know you can whistle somehow. Does that have the same effect in game?

No and no.....Would be nice, but since they stop right at the location you called from, it's pretty easy to get a still shot anyway. Just call from a spot, then move back to a location you can shoot from, or into a stand.

Thanks for the information. I wasn't aware they stop where you called from. I will stop calling from stand then because they end up underneath me sometimes and wont step back out.

Re: Verbal Ability to Stop Animals
Ever since I started shooting instinctively, I haven't stopped an animal if it's walking. My bow just naturally swings with the animal. It has its advantages as well. An animal that is walking is less likely to duck an arrow, where as an animal that is stopped is on alert already and will duck at the slightest sound.

I kind of do this by making the animal notice me intentionaly, like standing up, and take a quick shot.
