Predictions for 2018

Post by AmbushPredator »

I thought I’d make a few predictions on these forums, so I can revisit them this time next year, and see how accurate I was! Feel free to join in.

Most Likely: Mountain lion in RFF/lynx in Hemmaldal. I think with the introduction of the bobcat, then this fan favourite is a must as a reskin for this year.

Least Likely: Crocs in BRR & the new PBB/alligators in RGB. I still think the game mechanics of something that could dive would be very hard to crack.

Personally Wanted: Scrub bulls or camels in BRR. It’s easy to do (just rework the existing banteng model from PBB for the bulls). And camels would be a new model.

Mountain lion and bobcat are not similar in the slightest, save for the fact that they are both felines. Lynx could be a simple reskin.
Scrub bulls are basically banteng-colored water buffalo...I don't think this would happen then.

If they added a Texas reserve and put scrub bulls/Longhorns on it though, alongside more bison ;)

A mountain lion would be awesome. I'd love for everything to get quiet around you, maybe you won't notice at first... then you turn around and it's behind you, stalking you (always behind you!)... maybe not to kill you, but it's there! That happened to me once... I don't think it was hunting me, just following me to "escort" me out of its territory. Still scary. :D

I would love alligators in the river in PBB. From a programming standpoint it wouldn't be hard to keep them underwater until they attack. Maybe they could even claim some of the billions of buffalos that are there for easy pickings.
(Not a newbie! Back after a few years hiatus.)
