BRR has room for 1 more species

Post by Foxtrotter »

BRR is honestly the least appealing reserve for me for a few reasons.

First theres the west side that until reciently only had small game. Thanks for the goats EW.
Secondly I find Roo to be far to skittish.
Lastly If I want to hunt hogs Ill do so in another reserve where I can stock other large game and imo the hogs should have been wild boar anyway.

I propose adding yet 1 more species to BRR and that would be the Wilde Beast. A herding animal with poor eyesight but has other keen senses and is capable of outrunning very fast predators. It is a large game animal that can be shot with pretty much anything you could drop a red deer with. It also suits the region better than the feral hog (which I do wish EW would swap with the wild boar that is otherwise only found in Hirschfelden).

Just my opinions but hopefully EW might take notice and give consideration.

P.S. Thanks for the Feral Goat, EW. BRR is becoming more appealing but I still think theres room for 1 more improvement.

I don't know about hogs vs. boars, but aren't wildebeest African animals? Even though a lot of species have been introduced to Oz, I didn't know that wildebeest was one of them - Can any Aussie clarify?

Wildebeest are in Africa, not Australia. Wrong continent Foxtrotter.
I think Feral Hog fits pretty well. Hog hunting is BIG in Australia.

I'm leaning more towards water buffalo or rusa deer.

Another species would be great for BRR. I'm not sure which one, Axis Deer I suppose, but the map would be much better if there simply weren't such a species boundary created by the railroad tracks. It is totally unrealistic, and to my mind it makes the map less than it is, or could be. It's like the Berlin Wall for Pete's sakes. There are also species boundaries on other maps, I realize, but they don't stand out quite the way it does on BRR. They should try to blur the lines more on all the maps.

I'll lean for Axis Deer, though I'd like to see if crocs are possible on BRR or a Northern Australian reserve.
