Winchester Model 1887 Lever Action Shotgun
Yes, a lever action shotgun, and no, I'm not making this up. It was popular in the old west and would look awesome if I could hunt with one. I have a link for information on this shotgun.
The link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winchester_Model_1887/1901
Honestly ever since I saw the gun on Ghost Rider near the end of the movie, I wanted one so bad. It would look cool to me.
Thanks for looking at this and tell me what you think.

I see myself with this weapon hunt, deer or wild boar on Hirschfelden.

Re: Winchester Model 1887 Lever Action Shotgun
Thanks! I did some research on it and here's what I've found:
They were made in 10 and 12 gauges with either 30 or 32 inch barrels. Sounds heavy to me, but there were only 65,000 made before production ended in 1901. It held five rounds plus one in the chamber. Since the M1887 was designed for blackpowder cartridges, they redesigned it for smokeless cartridges, as the Model 1901, which was made in 10 gauge only until production ended in 1920.
Anyone with more information on this weapon they'd like to share are welcome to do so.

Chiappa makes modern, smokeless powder replicas in 12ga and with more manageable barrel lengths which would be more my style. 30 - 32" barrels on a shotgun is a bit too much.
