Three Billy Goats Gruff (Goat Comp)

Post by TreeKiwi »

Ladies and Gentlemen

I am proud to introduce you to the first (Unofficial) Goat shooting Competition with a twist.... Pun intended!

Image

1st 1000em 2nd 600em 3rd 400em

This competition is focused on the hunter producing one from each of the three main big horn types on the feral goats.
To make things simple and to avoid confusion we had to come up with names for each horn variation and sadly :P
I had to go out and shoot some goats to get you these examples:

Image
The first of the required horn variations has been called 'Horizontal Twist' (HT)

Image
The second variation has been named as Ibex Style (IS)

Image
The third and last variation has been named Vertical Twist (VT)
The rules:
- The hunter must enter one goat from each of the above to qualify and the total of points from each horn variation will give you your final score (HT+IS+VT =X)

- There are no attempt limits, however all goats must be taken from the same hunt. I.e you can't take one good head from three hunts ago and use two from the last hunt.

- Hunt time must be a minimum of 30 mins

- Entry must be submitted not more than 1 hour after hunt completion

- You can re submit a higher score until the close of competition

- You can shoot as many goats as you want in one hunt, after the hunt you decide which (If any) you want to submit, as long as its one from each horn variation. I.e you might shoot 4 HTs 3 VTs 6 ISs then you select the highest scoring from each category and submit

-You must provide trophy shots of each horn variation and they must be from the animals you are submitting

-Trophy shots should be focused on clearly showing the horn variation (Try to zoom in on the horns as much as possible.)

- Any permitted ammo/weapon can be used

-Hunts are completed in Single Player

-Competition starts 9th of June at 1600 (4pm) CEST and ends on Sunday the 11th of June at 2000 (8pm)

-Entries must be in by 8pm
Best of luck to you all... its should be fun and challenging. Any questions or comments feel free to ask away... this is my first time trying to flash a post up on a forum so forgive me if it looks odd

Massive thanks must go to caledonianblues, Tod1d and DYEUZ all of which have helped me to no end. You guys are awesome thanks!

Cheers all

I guess I better get over to BRR and practice. Haven't hunted many FGs. I'll give this a try as well. Thanks for putting this on, TreeKiwi. 8-) Peace.

BCKidd.

Once the score sheets and registration site has been finished it will all be a nice smooth process on there :)

Awesome! I might even take a swing at this, but either way it'll be fun watching it. Good job putting this together!
