This is a series of four hunting competitions, each of them held on one of the upcoming Advent weekends. Each round is independent from the others – you are free to participate in as many as you wish – though there will also be an overall leaderboard for some additional prizes at the end of the series.
Every round will consist of five species that need to be hunted and that are somehow thematically linked:
1st Advent: Counter-aggression
Friday November 25th, 12:00 CET - Monday November 28th, 12:00 CET
Friday December 2nd, 12:00 CET - Monday December 5th, 12:00 CET
Friday December 9th, 12:00 CET - Monday December 12th, 12:00 CET
Friday December 16th, 12:00 CET - Monday December 19th, 12:00 CET
Scores will be normalized, i.e. they will be given as a percentage of the highest scoring animal of that species in the respective round. The highest scoring animal of a species equals a maximum of 100 points.
In each round there is a special objective that will add a 10% bonus to an animal score (after normalization). It’s possible that a hunter has some animals with bonuses and some animals without in the same round - that means you don't have to meet the bonus requirement for all animals to get the bonus.
The final score in one round will be the sum of the five normalized scores plus bonuses.
Registration
If you want to participate, please tell us so by posting your intent in this thread. You will then be assigned to one of the hosts, we will contact you and tell you how to submit your scores when the competition is running.
Harvest Requirements
Animals must be harvested while the competition is running (times are given in Central European Time - please check your time difference) and must be submitted within one hour after being harvested, otherwise the entry will not count. Once you have submitted one entry for a certain species, you cannot improve that species later!
It's possible to submit entries from SP or MP games, but the animal must not be shot by any other hunter than you.
On the second Advent weekend, all birds (except Turkey) must be shot airborne. Non-typical antlers are not eligible for the deer round.
Prizes
The winners of each round will receive the following prizes:
1st place: 2,000 em$
2nd place: 1,000 em$
3rd place: 500 em$
The winners will also receive unique (unofficial) trophies... which will look like this (but with your name on it of course):
The top ten of each round will receive points for the overall leaderboard – 10 points for the winner down to 1 point for the hunter in tenth place. After all four rounds have been played, the top three of the overall leaderboard will receive additional prizes as follows:
1st place: 3,000 em$ or one copy of The Hunter: Call of the Wild on Steam - as soon as the game gets released in 2017 (winner's choice)
2nd place: 2,000 em$
3rd place: 1,000 em$

Conditions
We reserve the right to modify the rules and terms of this competition at any time between the date and time of this post, and the start of the competition. We also reserve the right to disqualify anyone for poor conduct, bad sportsmanship (including spawn mashing*) or cheating. Those situations will be handled on an individual basis and the final decision will be up to the hosts.
* For the sake of clarity: We consider a significant number of short hunts (usually more than 3 hunts of 5-30 minutes in succession) as spawn mashing. If you're not sure if your hunting style could be regarded as spawn mashing, contact the hosts in advance.
Final statement
This community competition is meant to be fun for all parties involved. We - as the hosts - will try our best to reply to questions, handle possible problems and validate submitted scores as quickly and as satisfying as possible. Still... please don't forget that we are people with everyday lives and other obligations and we cannot and will not sit in front of our PC during all of the upcoming four weekends. Since we're not using any kind of software to automatically keep track of, confirm or reject scores, all of this might take a bit of time in some cases. Also there probably won't be "live leaderboards". Last but not least: mistakes could happen even though we will try to prevent them. If you see anything that you think is worth talking about, contact us, but try to show some understanding. After all... this is meant to be fun!
Thank you!
