Can Grey Wolves Swim?

I've been following the tracks of a malanistic grey wolve for several hours at TGT. It's been one of the longest frustrating chases because they change directions sharply a lot. So finally the tracks led me into a deep lake. I can't reach the next track. It's out in the deep water. Can Wolves swim? Any suggestions of how to go from here would be most appreciated. I so don't want this one to get away. It may have even bled out bow now since I have been searching so long.

*Edit Ok so apparently they DO swim because I have picked up the next track on the other side of the lake. The chase continues. ..
