Can Ducks Be Hunted Without Callers, Decoys, And Groundblinds?
This is my first week of gameplay with The Hunter and I'm still playing as a 'guest' and am wondering Can Ducks Be Hunted Without Callers, Decoys, And Groundblinds? At the moment I've just got a 12 GA single shot shotgun that everyone starts with. Can I harvest any birds with just that? I don't mind putting in the extra effort. I just want to know if it's possible? Any help/suggestions would be very much appreciated!

You can, but you're at the mercy of the birds' whims. You really need callers (at the very least) to get them to break and to come near you. Otherwise you're just wasting your time.

Or just join a Multi-Player game on RB where the host has a decoy setup. I hunted ducks for months before eventually buying my own setup and callers.

Duck hunting is pricey. The attraction of each set of decoys for each species is confusing. Here is a tool for calculating decoy attraction without over-spending. I tried it for my single set up and I'm at 333%. Where 100% is max and there is no advantage to being over 100%.

@stancomputerhunter
You just saved me some money. Thank you! That chart is very helpful.
@LEFLOR
Thanks for that link! This has given me some hope that maybe I can get some duck trohpies this week for the lodge. It's great because I can make my whitetail rounds at Rooga Booga (Rougarou) AND try my hand at the ducks. And yes I will probably make a fool of myself in the swamp. LOL I need a trophy as well that says "Worst Shooter 1st Place" when it comes to 'moving targets. One thing is for sure. I'm not coming home without a buck from Rougarou today.
