Re: Status Update - 15th February 2018

Internet here is stable, PC running normal so not my end. Playing over Steam. Same here. Was about t...

Re: Rifles | .30 R O/U Break Action Rifle

An excellent rifle. Especially the animations are great. I love that there is an actual animation of loading only one of the two barrels, as opposed to some of the older double barreled shotguns. Even the caliber is very fitting for the type of rifle (looking at you, .30-06 lever action rifle!). Fit...

Re: .22 LR vs. .17 HMR - choosing a varmint rifle.

I was presented with the same choice a while ago. Since I like Lever Action Rifles, I went with the .17HMR in the end, so I can't say anything about the .22. But what I can say is that I really like the .17 so far. It is great for Turkey on those long meadows on Whitehart Island or for picking off P...

Re: .30 R O/U Break Action Rifle vs Species

Well, I can understand you and you are right in that the lists for permitted animals between different ammo is inconsistent. I guess what Griph is saying is that it is not the permitted species for the .30R that is off. Maybe the permitted species for .300, 8x57IS, 7mm and 9,3x64 is too large or too...

Re: .30 R O/U Break Action Rifle vs Species

The permitted species list is a mystery of it's own. I thought about it a lot and tried to figure out some consistency, without success. Recently I have somehow managed to just stop worrying about it, which makes life in theHunter much easier. If i go for Coyote, Banteng or Bison I usually pick comp...

Re: Weekend Sales on Piccabeen items just released in December.

Regardless of the reason for the sales, I think Jimbo has a point here. One reason why I don't hunt in Piccabeen Bay is the lack of animal variety. We have: - two large deer species which look almost the same - two large bovines - feral hog, which can be hunted almost anywhere else Ofcourse they beh...

Re: STEAM CAPTCHA at it again

It's true that the CAPTCHA screen will appear based on your IP address. If you have a dynamic IP, it will keep changing randomly (for example with router restarts). Some of these IPs may have bad reputation and the CAPTCHA screen will appear. If you have static IP with bad IP reputation (for exampl...

Re: STEAM CAPTCHA at it again

Well, I also wrote to the Support, but I am not sure if they actually DID anything or if the problem just solved itself after a few days. After all, it kept coming back a week later or so. Unfortunately, Adam is no longer around to tell us. Anyhow, it is very frustrating and I am sorry that I couldn...

Re: STEAM CAPTCHA at it again

I had this issue a couple of times around October - November last year. I contacted support about it and it seems like it is somehow connected to your IP. What seemed to work for me was to restart the router until I was assigned an IP that didn't summon the CAPTCHA promt in the first place. Then aga...
