Re: Air guns!

I've got two pellet guns. An old Diana airgun, which my uncle gave to me. It has a little 4x scope on it, but beyond 30 Meters there is no hitting with it. The other one, a real gem, is my dad's old Weihrauch HW35 long range air rifle. It's fitted with a 2-7x scope and shoots reasonably well out to ...

Re: Translation concerning Break Action rifles

Ich glaube die Flinten heißen jetzt "Querflinte". Von daher dürften Verwechslungen ausgeschlossen sein. Wenn sie dann "Bockdoppelbüchse" heißen, dürfte es auch mit der F3 keine Probleme geben.

Re: Optics for old weapons.

That... looks very uncomfortable. I would vowe to give several rifles historic scopes with a higher magnification. Having a high, fixed magnufication would also balance things out a bit. For example this Zeiss Zielacht 8x scope for the Karabiner 98: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/ZIQAAOxy2CZTWsv2/s-...

Well there IS the .577 Nitro Express Caliber. Mark Sullivan shoots it in his Heym 89B Jumbo.

Re: 17 hmr

It's not about shooting deer with the .17 HMR. It's about being able to do it. Out to 120m it makes a devastating fox round IRL. Heck, after the war, my grandfather shot roe deer in the head with a little .22 semi automatic. And that was very effective. The .17HMR is, mind you, a .22 Magnum necked d...

Translation concerning Break Action rifles

In German, saying break action rifle (which is, at the moment, translated to "Kipplaufbüchse") is simply incorrect. The Term "Kipplaufbüchse" is used for single shot break barrel rifles in German. For example for the 7mm Rem. Mag. we have in game. Double barreled rifles are calle...

Re: Tanks w/ Legs: Sambar

.30R Blaser is far stronger than 7x65R Brenneke, though. It's between the .30-06 Sprg and the .300 Win mag in terms of power and velocity.

Doesn't it say 325grs? That would make much more sense in the velocity department as well.

Re: 2017/2018

Cormorants are darn tough. We started out shooting them with 5 size shot and they didn't even blink.
My theory is, that they have very tough feathers due to the fact that they have no "Pürzeldrüse" I think it's called Uropygial gland (?).

Re: 2017/2018

You get about 8-9 pounds of meat off of a roe deer fawn at this time in the year. It's generally 1/4 to 1/3 of the dressed weight as well.
